Photos from the 2010 Queen of Gaelic Park Contest

On behalf of the Queen Contest Committee and Gaelic Park Board of Directors, I would like to thank all the beautiful
young ladies you see before you. As John Griffin mentioned during the introductions, "It takes a great deal
of courage to put yourself up of a contest like this". As far as we concerned, every one of these
ladies deserves a warm applause and congratulations for job well done.

With the music fired up and the dancers keeping the dance floor hot [above], of our contestants are waiting for the final part of the evening. Soon they will summarize in a sentence of two, why they would like the honor of 2010 Queen or Gaelic Park.

But before we introduce our 2010 contestants, let's welcome several prior Gaelic Park Queens and Runners Up [right].

And finally, let's thank our panel of judges and the ushers for the evening [below].

And a round of applause for our 2010 Queen of Gaelic Park, Killeen McClowry.

Killeen is 20 year old from Frankfort, currently attending Moraine Valley Community College. Killeen is involved in theatre, dance and singing. She is studying to become an elementary school teacher. She absolutely loves to sing!

And another great round of applause for our 2010 1st Runner Up and member of the Queen's Court, Megan Maloney

Megan is attending Providence Catholic High School. She has accomplished much in her 18 years. She has traveled through many European countries and was a volunteer at the Salvador Dali Museum in Spain. Megan had the unique opportunity to have an audience with Pope Benedict XVI at St. Peter's in Rome. She plays Gaelic football and comes from Homer Glen.

And now with the selection behind us, our queen begins their royal duties,
beginning at the Ireland On Parade, and continuing throughout the year.
